This policy explains what personal information Breaking The Cycle collects when you use this website and the programme, why it's collected, and what your rights are. Plain English throughout, the same way everything else here is written.

Who we are

Breaking The Cycle is operated by Ryan Charles, trading as Breaking The Cycle, based in the United Kingdom. For anything in this policy, contact: hello@breaking-the-cycle-for-men.uk.

What we collect and why

• Discovery call bookings. When you book a call, our booking provider collects your name, email address, phone number and the time you choose, so the call can happen. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
• Intake form. If you join the programme, the intake form collects your name, contact details and the answers you choose to share about your situation and goals. This may include information about your wellbeing that you volunteer. It is used solely to run the programme and personalise your experience, and is treated as strictly confidential. Lawful basis: performance of a contract, and your explicit consent for anything health-related.
• Payments. Payments are processed by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card details. Lawful basis: performance of a contract.
• Website analytics and advertising. This site uses the Meta Pixel, which sets cookies and collects information about your visit (pages viewed, actions taken, device information) to measure advertising and show relevant ads on Meta platforms. Lawful basis: your consent.
• Community. The programme community runs on Telegram. Joining is your choice, governed by Telegram's own privacy policy.
• Email. If you contact us or join the programme, we use your email to communicate with you about the programme. We don't sell your details or send spam.

Who we share data with

Only the service providers needed to run things: our booking provider (TidyCal), form provider (Formspree), payment provider (Stripe), Meta (Pixel/advertising), and Telegram (community, if you join). Each processes data under their own terms and appropriate safeguards. We never sell personal information to anyone.

How long we keep it

Booking and intake information is kept for the duration of the programme and up to 24 months after, then deleted. Financial records are kept as long as UK law requires. You can ask for earlier deletion at any time (see your rights below).

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can: request a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent at any time, and ask for your data in a portable format. Email hello@breaking-the-cycle-for-men.uk and it will be handled within one month. You also have the right to complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk) if you think your data has been mishandled.

Cookies

This site uses cookies set by the Meta Pixel for advertising measurement. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and manage how Meta uses your data at facebook.com/adpreferences.

Sensitive information, a straight word

This programme deals with personal territory: childhood, patterns, health, habits. Anything you share in your intake form, on calls, or in the community is treated as confidential and never used in marketing without your explicit, separate permission. Testimonials only ever happen because you agreed to them, in writing, after the fact, with full control over what's used.

Age

This programme and website are for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Significant changes will be flagged to programme members directly.
